GLOSSARY
Facial geometry, in plain language.
Every term behind an Aureon Labs report, defined without jargon — what each reading measures, what it needs from your photos, and what it never claims. Start with an entry, or fix your photos first.
Facial thirds & fifths
The classic horizontal and vertical divisions of the face. What they are, the landmarks used to locate them, what Aureon reports, and what the bands do not mean.
Facial symmetry
Every face is slightly asymmetric — that is normal. What front photos can and cannot support for symmetry readings, and when a reading comes back unavailable.
Canthal tilt
The angle between the inner and outer corners of the eye. How it is measured from a front photo, what it does not mean, and when it cannot be read.
Side profile photo guide
The exact setup for a true 90° profile photo — distance, lens, head level, hair, lips and light — plus the fails that void a reading before analysis starts.
Photo-quality guide
Light, sharpness and framing rules that apply to every photo you submit. Poor quality produces unavailable readings, not guesses.
Landmark overlay demo
See how Aureon shows its work: the landmark overlay drawn on your photo, with per-reading reference status instead of a black box.
GLOSSARY FAQ
Questions about these guides.
What is this glossary for?
It defines the facial-geometry terms behind an Aureon Labs report in plain language — what each reading measures, what it needs from your photos, and what it never claims.
Does Aureon Labs rate attractiveness?
No. Aureon Labs reports individual geometric readings with confidence labels and reference status. Each report also shows a composite out of 10 that combines the domain scores with weights we chose; it summarizes how your measurements sit against reference ranges and is not a rating of attractiveness. No single reading is a beauty verdict.
Where do I start with photos?
Start with the side-profile photo guide and the photo-quality guide. Good photos in means honest readings out — poor photos produce unavailable readings, not guesses.
Good photos in, honest readings out.
